COERR Organized Youth Camp of Volunteers for Social and Environmental Development

   During June 1-3, 2018, COERR and the Volunteers for Social and Environmental Development (VSED) organized Youth Camp Volunteer Service in which youth were gathered to do public work together. The objectives of the Youth Camp Volunteer Service were to enable youth to be involved in activities that promote team working, dedicating for mutual benefit and acquiring leadership skills through the painting work to improve the old Patient Ward Building of Dan Makham Tia Hospital in Kanchanaburi Province.

   After the hospital building work was complete, VSED youth also benefited from visiting and learning from activities at Tha Mai Yao Royal Development Project and eco-friendly activities concerning water and energy conservation at the Rachanurak Learning Center of the Electricity Generation Authority of Thailand.

   There were 103 participants in this Youth Camp Activities, consisting of 66 VSED current students, and 21 teachers from 11 VSED Schools such as Sacred Heart Convent School, Phraharuthai Donmuang School, Phraharuthai Nonthaburi School, Sacred Heart Pattanawes School, Assumption College, Assumption Suksa School, Saint Gabriel’s College, Saint Theresa School, Joseph Krungtheph School, Phravisuthiwong School and Saint Peter School; 10 former VSED members who are studying in universities; and 6 COERR staff; joining this inspiring VISED youth camp activities.
